Exceptional Quality We offer very healthy, well cared for, and exceptionally tame canaries. Our birds are:
Exceptional Nutrition
Friendly Birds with Delightful Songs These birds are accustomed to being around people and some are very tame. They are very stress resistant because of their exceptional environmental conditions. They are happy, singing along and bouncing and swinging on their perches. The males sing all the time and some of them like to show off and sing while you watch. We do not breed for song however. To color feed or not? All of our red factor canaries are color fed with appropriate high quality color enhancing supplements. We feed a very expensive mixture to achieve intensification of the natural red color. We are a small breeder and treat these canaries as our own pets. What we don’t sell we keep as pets.
Exceptional Health Because our quality control standards are so high, we have never lost a baby duming molt season and rarely have had a sick bird. We want to place our birds in good homes where they will be given the same standard of care and affection. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance and we want you to fall in love with the right bird for you. Our product catalogue has a short list of the birds we have available for sale. We will only hold birds for which we get a deposit, and only for 2 weeks (or by prior arrangement). We do not discount birds, or sell them to large scale commercial operations. We do not ship birds either. If those on the waiting list have found other birds, we will hold on to ours until the winter. Why? Because we love our birds and want them to go to good homes and in the late Fall and Winter we always get lots of calls from people who are looking all over for a nice canary, and no one has any available. Therefore, we will hang on to any canary that does not sell in September/October. Check back again later in the year if you want another canary. Also, in Jan/Feb we decide which birds we will breed and may let go exceptional birds that we kept just in case we needed them for the 2006 season. That is an opportunity to pick up a great bird that we were hanging on to. We try to be as accurate as possible with sexing our birds but until they either sing or lay eggs one cannot be sure. We are not responsible for any mistakes in the sex of the bird. We will try to supply you with a good description and even a short video clip if you like prior to you placing an order. We have been fooled by a singing female more than once. We thought they were males because of the nice song, but at breeding time, they turned out to be females. We have also been fooled by what we thought was a female because there was no song, until at breeding season, they turned out to be agressive males. Once in a while a female will sing and once in a while a male will fail to sing for many months. Those we think are males are NOW singing with a full throat and very “proudly”. We will start out by letting those obvious males go to new homes.
2004 and 2005 Breeding Season BIRDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE PLACEMENT IN THEIR NEW HOMES! We have quite a few 2005 birds and a very limited selection of older birds (from 2004) that we will not need for the next breeding
